OUR MISSION: Impacting All People with the Love and Power of Christ Jesus
How will we do this? By encouraging people to…
As Christians we are called to believe but also to belong.
Romans 12:5 “So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
At Tauranga Elim Church one of the best ways to connect as a family is through our Connect Groups where we can do life together; learn together, pray together and have fun together. It is in our Connect Groups that true relationship starts to takes place and we encourage everyone to become part of a Connect Group.
Our vision is to serve God and the community.
1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
Ministry is using your gifts to serve others in the church. There are many ways to do this, for example on Sunday we have service teams involved in car parking, welcoming, making coffees, auditorium ushers and many more. Ministry teams for children, youth, creative arts and community outreach such as Street Reach where we feed the homeless and Tiny Boppers music event for parents/caregivers with young children also operate through out the week.
You are called to become like Jesus.
Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”
Jesus is the greatest leader ever to walk on the earth. He called His disciples to follow Him and they did. As a church we are committed to seeing people follow Jesus in loving God and loving others. We will help and encourage others how to hear His voice through spending time with God daily through praise, worship, prayer and reading the bible. We will also help people to grow in the gifts that God has given them so that they can use the gifts to be a blessing and help to others. Our Growth Track course is integral in how we do this.
ELIM CHURCH NZ
Elim has over 40 churches throughout the towns and cities of New Zealand as well as churches in forty countries around the world. We all have a similar aim that unites us. It is a desire to reach up to God in worship; to reach out to our communities in service, and to share the difference Jesus Christ has made in our lives.
Once a year in October all North Island Elim Churches gather in Auckland for ONE Conference
